This is a great video from Team India. It shows a sport specific squat jump which is apparently particularly good for defenders who want to improve what the coach calls ‘decceleration’. Not sure that’s actually a word as it’s coming up with a red line under it in my spell check. But, essentially what he means is being able to stop more quickly – presumably so you don’t run past the player you are trying to stop when they change direction or pace.
