Strength and power exercises for field hockey

Here’s some exercises you can do in the gym from Lauren Penny at the Hockey Performance Academy

These can help improve your strength and explosive power so you can get to the ball first. Keep your core engaged through the exercises and make sure you land softly so you avoid jolting your joints. Do each exercise about 10 times.
